Responsible Gaming at Stake
Stake aims to ensure responsible gambling on its platform and in the community. The company wants to help its customers become aware of the tools available to control all gaming activities. Stake wants to make sure that its clients practice betting and gambling as entertainment only and make decisions based on analysis rather than blind emotion.
Tips for Managing Betting and Gambling Activities
We have prepared some recommendations to help you control your gaming activity and avoid gaming addiction.
- Prioritise other recreational activities. Don’t limit yourself to gambling. Try different leisure activities so that you don’t focus solely on betting.
- Before starting a gaming session, decide how much money and time you are willing to spend. This will help you avoid spontaneous decisions.
- It’s important to understand your financial boundaries and stick to them to avoid problems.
- Knowing the odds and risks of betting and gambling will help you better evaluate potential wins and losses.
- Stop when betting or gambling is no longer enjoyable. If gaming becomes a source of stress or anxiety, it is important to stop in time.
Limits on Responsible Gaming
You can set a limit on the amount you are willing to lose in a certain period (day, week or month). This limit does not take into account your profit, which means that if you win, you can continue playing until the limit is reached. Remember to keep an eye out for unsettled bets that may affect your limit.
The betting limit allows you to control the amount you can bet within a certain period. This limit is also set for a day, week or month. Profits are not included in the betting limit, allowing you to win more without changing your limit.
If you think betting or gambling is becoming a problem, you can temporarily or permanently remove yourself from such activities for 6 months, 1 year, or indefinitely.
With an indefinite suspension, your account will be blocked until you request a cancellation. The minimum time period for cancelling an indefinite suspension is 6 months.
If you want to take a break from betting and gambling activities, Stake offers a temporary exception for a day, a month, a week, or three months.
Once you apply to self-exclude, your account enters a 24-hour cooling off period. Afterwards, the exclusion period of your choice will apply. During this time, your activity will be suspended. If you select a temporary exclusion, your account will be automatically restored at the end of the selected period. Indefinite exclusion does not allow you to reinstate your account until 6 months have elapsed.
Self-esteem
Gambling can be an enjoyable pastime, but for some people, it can become a serious problem. To understand if you have a gambling problem, it is important to conduct an honest self-assessment. This tool will help you to analyse your behaviour and determine if it is causing problems in your life.
